Recently we have had a few outbursts by a few members and from what I have seen, for the most part, they were just misunderstanding and taken the wrong way...however I have also made note of some members who would rather create a situation and bully others around by jumping all over them...as well as a few that will make comments in public that are not appropriate and meant to create some friction.
I am going to announce this to all members as to not point any one of these people out and make them feel like they are getting picked on. If you have an issue with someone here PM them and work it out...you are all big girls and boys and I am sure you can work it out. If you simply dont like someone we are not forcing you to communicate or interact with them but my suggestion after years of benefiting from the boards is to get over it and try to learn from them.
Their are lots of people (even here) that I would not go out of my way to grab a drink with and a few I wish I had the air fair and money to go and hang out with for a month! But the best part of this forum is that we are all here to benefit from each others experience, argue Karate, learn and build our training up a bit.
Dod once said that the OSS should be treated like a Dojo, with mutual respect and behavior according to what you would expect visiting a friends Dojo.
As a Mod here I try ( I did say try) to share and not offend to many people with my views, which can be uber-traditional and also controversial at the same time...and I read their posts and try not to be offended or take them the wrong way. But when their are people that seem to be just trying to dig up muck and toss it..its hard to ignore.
this is not baseball, you get one warning in a PM and a repeat and I ban you. So far...lets just see this as a reminder.
