Announcement:
The JKA’s of Manitoba has taken the step to open our first standalone club in nearly a decade! The Kildonan Karate Club is under renovations right now and will be opening in late April.
Sensei Steve Burch will be moving his popular and successful claim from a community club based family program. The current program began to grow so quickly and was so popular that the next logical step in expanding the program was to open it up in a dedicated club space.
The club is a 2000+ square foot training facility with new hardwood floors, Japanese decor and modern training equipment mixed with traditional training equipment and will offer Karate classes four to five days a week including a huge Tiny Tigers program for younger children as well as a strong anti-bullying program that is wonion into the children’s classes.
The facility will be open to all JKA students in Manitoba and will run seniors classes organized by Dingman Sensei founder of JKA Karate in Manitoba. Special classes taught by other instructors to help build the technical ability and the proficiency of our students in Manitoba as well as special self-protection classes that put the emphasis on real world training for our adult members.
All visitors will be welcome from anywhere in the world and the program will focus on developing JKA Karate further in Manitoba. It is our hope that a Karate Friendship course can be offered and bring in visitors from all over the province, country and internationally as well to help share our love and dedication to Karate and our teachings that Dingman Sensei instilled in our members through his hard work and dedication to the art.
This is a very exciting time for us in Manitoba and shows that the growth and hard work of our students and seniors is paying off as they grow and open programs such as this.
At this time we want to extend an invitation to members of the JKA and Shotokan students around the world to visit this club when it opens and share with us in the true spirit of Karate do.
