It the best posts are the ones that are insulting and allow everyone to gang up and be bullies.
What do you think of that morons?

Speaking as the only moron to be daft enough to reply thus far you'll need to be far more insulting than that to get a rise out of anyone :-)
(although it's remarkably easy when one is not trying it seems, ho hum)
Although, at least a good row always seems to generate some traffic for a while.

I do not exclude myself as a moron, it seems a shame people are not even looking any more let alone trying to post. There always seems to be a willingness to help each other amongst the rank and file and I am sorry to see the little corner dying on it's feet.

Like I said before, it's not just here, most of the (serious) forums seem to be in the same boat. I think part of the problem was trying to treat a forum "like a dojo", pussyfooting around, bowing and scraping and trading on eggshells for fear of causing offence. Personally I think a forum should be more like the post training conversations in the pub, everyone has (and is entitled to) a view, ideas are exchanged in a relaxed way, sometimes people get carried away make an arse of themselves and very occasionally there's a fight (but everyone's back in the pub after the next session to do it all again ). However I think the biggest issue is it's just had it's day as a format, most of my traffic these days goes on various FaceBook groups, easy to join, easy to leave, photo's, videos and instant communication. Pick the right groups and people are very open and sharing. Even in that I'm probably behind the times but I just can't bring myself to join the Twits.

There lies the problem, it is not a dojo and there is no point behaving like one. If you go to a Dojo and ask to do anything, it is a wim on the part of the instructor if you do. It is a really ineffective way of learning. After a few decades you hear the same things said again and again even if you can show they are 50's thinking.
Some training methods just cause injury after a few years and shouldn't be continued as after 60 years you can see the results and there is no longer an excuse to think karate knows better.
In the real world about half a dozen karate instructors work for me, I pay their wages, certainly there is little respect and arse kissing they are always going on about legal action and there rights.

Sorry gang, so busy as of late I don't seem to have the time to be a moron responding to offensive posts. Promise in the next while when things lighten up work wise I will be back to being the moron that replys to all posts and rocks the boat.
