Might be a bit more expensive Andy But TOKAIDO offer a tailor made service that is very good. that way you'll get it to fit exactly as you would like. Good Luck.

I had a look on the Tokaido website, Steve, and when I picked myself back off the floor, I decided that it's a bit too much for my pocket, sadly. But they ARE excellent gi's. Incidentally, Sensei Cope wears Tokaido and Shureido gi's.

I know I always say the same thing in these circumstances but I keep coming back to the same Gi. I have a Blitz Gi, not bad, good for the price and handy as a "second" Gi but my fist choice is still the Kamikaze America, (a little more pricey but worth the extra just for the differences in cut I think). The America is a good choice for the "big lump", (e.g. I'm 6' 3", 230lbs, 50" Chest, 42" Hips, inside leg 33-34"), It has plenty of length in the jacket, which I also like, is cut for comfort, especially it has plenty of room under the arms and across the back and is sturdy enough for a bit of "rough and tumble" (although I'd still consider it a light-heavy compared to some, I've had heavier that don't wear so well and are less robust) . At my size I normally order a size 7 from them (I've had 7's from other places that are a lot smaller) but they do go up to a 7.5 www.kamikazeweb.com/index.php?action=article_detailed&id=00013&type=cesta

Don`t know if it available in the U.K., but I recently bought a `Juka Emerald` ( green ) tournament cut. It`s not as heavy as my tokaido`s, but my price was $100.00 compared to $ 250.00. I just wanted to try something different. The Juka is a large fit, the arms & legs are for someone who has larger diameter limbs or wants to have a looser fit. A 7 in this gi, is most likely athe same as an 8 in others. However, I`m sure that they do make an 8.. Osu Paul B
