I have a training course in October in central London, does anyone know of clubs within easy tube distance around the capital, it would be for Monday and/or Tuesday evenings. I have found a couple of clubs online and emailed them but always worth asking for a personal recomendation.

You have quite a choice.. here's two for starters..
Kawazoe's club is based in Sheppards Bush, whilst I believe Craig Raye has re-opened Enoeda's old Martial Street Dojo - that's by carniby street (near oxford circus)

Thanks Tom, I found Craig's website but he trains on a Thursday I couldn't find the other one, although there is one in Shepperds Bush of a different style and "Grand MASTER" all over it..... so I left. ;D I got feedback from a similar style saying I could come and watch......

I'm not in Central London, but am at the end of the Metropolitan line out of Baker Street and train on Tuesday night 8:00-9:30 (ish). Probably not what you were looking for as it's a new dojo with only a few lower grade students (plus me and my son), however, you are welcome to join us for a session, (or a curry and a couple of pints if that's more appropriate ) Give me a shout closer to the time if you are interested. Cheers

My primary aim is to keep me out of the pubs, it's a dull IT training course and i've lived in Central London before so would end up re-visiting a few old haunts and probably being dissapointed. It's also another opportunity to train and not get moaned at by the missus.... How far are you in time from Baker St? I will give you a shout nearer the time.

If your not careful Bob, I may turn up too... For Kawazoe's club i could always ask one our guys, he is a regular at the "not-advertised" club in Shepphards bush... I don't know if it is invitation only (I don't train there myself, but Craig Raye does...)

If you could Tom, that would be good. I will plan it more nearer the time but suspect I will find Bob on Tuesday - and any other OSS members nearby! I will only be there for Mon/Tues so just a club that runs on a Monday would be good to find.

Jim Lewis dojo at Imperial College. He was the right hand (apart form the Japanese shidoin) to Mr. Enoeda for many years. Wrote the books and the DVD's that are attributed to Mr. Enoeda. A good man, and good karate-ka.
If you are interested PM me, and I will give you his number.

Sid Tadrist is at International House, Great Portland St. He is well worth a visit, especially if you are feeling energetic.

Met Sid up at the Yahara course the other week and have checked him out on video, I'd second this recommendation.

Wow, what a lesson! The class had more senior grades than I'm used to training with and Sid homed in straight away on my bad habits. He ran the lesson at 100 miles per hour, not the normal tempo I'm used to of 90 odd.... I will take away from his lesson the need to keep on top of the basics and to train hard, a great lesson with great people.

Glad you liked it. Our karate is slightly different in some ways, and can only augment what people already have. Of course Sid is very open, and will also be willing to take away ideas himself.
Keep in touch with him. He is always hospitable.
