I can understand why the content of this section has been removed and (unfortunatley) the "Friendship Course" lable is now unusable for obvious reasons.
However, the actual concept of a regular, non-political, non-affilated training meet where karate-ka from all over the country get together to learn (and teach) and socialise away from the distractions of daily life is still a good one and it would be a shame to lose this as people (quite understandably) seek to sever their ties and distance themselves.
Whilst this may be considered a bit soon to bring this up my fear is that as time goes by it will drift and people will get back to just doing their own thing again, which is a missed opportunity I think.
We can take something positive out of this and continue to make this happen to the benefit of many if we choose to do so. This is a big(ish) task for someone to take on but if we share it out we can probably still make it happen and maybe spread it even further.
I'm happy enough to get involved in any form of organisational activity but what I don't have is 40+ years of "real world" experience or the contacts training wise to offer anything much other than "more of the same" that you'd get at any open course.
If anybody thinks there is any milage in trying to keep this going then please step up and we'll see if we can make something work (I'm based in UK, London area), between us we aught to be albe to put something worthwhile, interesting and out of the norm of daily training together and keep the interaction of open minded karate-ka in a face to face situation going.
Unlikely we can make anything happen this year but, if we want to do it, we probably want to start thinking about it now.
