I guess this just reconfirms that he really was incredible! On a side note, he must have had a fantastic sense of humour

Looking at this again - watch Enoeda Sensei when he does the Tameshiwara - he absolutely nails it and then look at his face - it is a look of disdain that kinda says...
'boards - it is me! How dare you even think i wasn't gonna obliterate you!'
A true Master in his prime. watching it now makes me very sad he is gone.

very nice and funny video!I only have read the book read "enoeda the tiger of shotokan karate",I've seen him on video and even though I've never met him irl(in real life) he's one of the most impressive and skilled martial artists I've ever seen .His passing away surely is a big loss . I wish I had the opportunity to train with him even once...

that book came out very quickly after he passed and although well intended DOES NOT do him justice IMHO. there are many vids of him on You Tube but even then it nowhere near represents just how awesome he was.
He had this very special aura about him that even non karateka could pick up on. My Brother is an award winning photographer who photographed many famous sports personalities but he also said Enoeda Sensei had 'IT'.

Hi Steve, Mick Robinson from Wirral Shotokan, just agreeing with your comments on Enoida Sensei, Awesome personality, and my first training session with him left a lasting impression on me, I was 15 (51 now!!!) and it was at the YMCA Birkenhead.Sensei Enoida Showed us Yoko Geri Kekomi, I vividly remember the sharp crack resonating across the Dojo as his leg locked out. I remember senei Cope smiling at me, my face was a picture apparently. A great Karateka and man.
