Just dropped in to say hello. Everyone wants to do BJJ & MMa now but we still do kata too. Kinda weird but I am trying to keep some tradition. We are working hard and I am blessed to have gone through hip replacement surgery and I can still fight (for an old geezer).

Hi Tom, Glad you are still hanging in there. BJJ and MMa are fashionable right now but the fundamentals are still important. Was training with some JJ guys over the weekend, they were quick to point out how they would break or disrupt my balance but it very soon became apparent that, lying down or standing up, they couldn't punch for toffee (good fun all the same though).

Hi Bob, Yeah, still training. trained with wrestlers last week & got body slammed. I got slammed on my back but my chest still hurts when I cough or sneeze. I am probably not suposed to be doing this at 67 but I can't help it. keep on training.

Had a similar conversation in the pub last night, I was wondering when I was going to own up to being too old for these games and decided it probably wasn't happening any time soon I got body slammed early on during a scenario training session at the end of last year, took me well over 3 weeks to recover from that one, didn't stop me training on though (although continuing in a back brace for another 4 hours afterwards probably wasn't the brightest idea) . No fool like an old fool
