I have just witnessed a most extraordinary 'fight' that has made me understand why Chinese MA can often based their 'stuff' on the combative movements of animals.... Please allow me to explain. Living in our house are three pets - many of you out there have met them . A Cat: Tigger. A huge (and i mean huge) American bulldog: Grissom who is a fantastic House Guard but as gentle as a lamb and a Staffie = holly who is fantastic with people but feisty as heck with other animals - clearly the leader of the pack. They all get on very well but - Grissom keeps trying to get the Cat to play-fight with him but the cat won't and retaliates by attacking him. he takes it and never turns on the cat to hurt her. Tonight he was teasing her and she went ON ONE. But i noticed for the first time tonight that she targets his eyes, bites his lips, scratches his nose etc (I have seen her dive under him and bite his testicles!) - Atemi Waza? He puts up with it for a while and then literally flattens her by rising up and dropping his whole weight on top of her to either turn her off balance or hold her to the ground once he has turned her over - Kuzushi waza? but tonight Holly came running in and literally ashi Barrai'd the Cat and bit Grissom on the nose to stop them. they all scattered and then all three came and lay at my feet in a huddle and went to sleep - spooky eh?

I don't think you quite got the gist of my post Garage - but thanks for your comments anyway.
