Thanks to all for the welcome so far.
Andy, one of my son-in-laws (who trained with John Errington at Ormskirk up to brown belt) and his youngest son (13) are hoping to visit WSKC with the view to train.

Just heard that my grandson Matt double graded tonight (now 7th kyu red belt) on his first grading at Sensei Frank Cope's WSKC on the Wirral, spoke to him and he is so elated. So very proud of him. Many thanks to all of the instructors at WSKC, he is so looking forward to the next training session as a red belt.
Best Regards Allan

Hi Andy
Many thanks for the words of encouragement, I greatly appreciate them and I can also speak for Matt. As a watching visitor on a few occassions to WSKC I was taken back just how much positive atmosphere there is at the club. Having spoken to Sensei Frank Cope Snr and Jnr, also Sue I can understand why. Soon as I can I will visit with my Gi and enjoy the atmosphere first hand.
Best Regards Allan

Hello to all
Great to see the reminder for my birthday, a lot has happened over the last 65 years. Come to think of it a lot has happened since joining OSS in January 2012!
Off to Ayamonte in Spain tomorrow morning with my wife to celebrate my birthday, probably the first time ever that I have not taken my dogi with me since the airline we are using (never used them before) has a slightly less allowance on luggage. Had problems finding a club in the immediate area but I can live with that, I think!?
Best Regards Allan

Hi Bob
Thank you, sorry for the late reply only just got back from our 16 day hols in Costa Esuri, Ayamonte, Spain. Bit of a strange place!
Meet a lifeguard practicing judo/jujitsu on the beach the other day with his mate and needless to say I starting talking to him. He is affiliated to Sensei Richard Morris 10th Dan who trained with Sensei James Blundell who was my jujitsu instructor from the Haymans Green dojo in Liverpool when I was a school boy many years ago. Small world is it not?
Best Regards Allan
