Hi, Ive just recently started at Lyons Karate Club ( www.lyonskarate.co.uk ), Its been a life long ambition of mine to start this amazing art. Its took me to the age of a 34 Family Man to actually do something about this. Lifes hurdles during time always were to high and got in the way. Now ive started Im needing lots of advise as Ive 2 left feet and a brain that seems to halt every time Ive seen a demonstration then gone to perform it myself. Luckily my friend and Dojo Sensai understands that my brain needs a kickstart and that I am actually listening. I'll try and find the right section to post my weekly lessons (feelings, advancements, problems) in the hope that there are members that can relate or have been through this, or may even help other beginners. Advise would be greatly appreciated on each post. Hoping my brain will recover and allow me to start filling my empty cup, 'so to speak'. Im also, along with another member "James luke" starting a company called Tatsu Sport Ltd www.tatsusport.com , to offer all Martial Arts supplies, Club Gifts, stationary(letterhead, business cards), Banners, Design services (leaflets, tshirts etc) & personalised Gifts (Mugs, mouse mats etc). Any thoughts on the products we have available or products that you would like to see please let me know. Trying to cut out the middle man to offer clubs cheaper premium products. Once again, Im trying to turn my life in the direction that I reared off track many years ago. Thanks to all members, in advance

Hi Scotty, welcome to the forum.
Fire away with any questions however basic or daft they may sound, we've all been through it, some will learn it easier than others but you will get there. It took me ages to get the 2 move combinations right when I was a red belt and the Kata Heian Nidan. I also started late in life but passed my Shodan last year. For every time in your training you come across an area which may seem boring or repetitive - KEEP GOING! - training will get more interesting and you wil get more from Karate the more you put into it. When you get past Black belt then it really opens up and you will realise there is tons more to come.
