Hello Simon
Meet with Sensei Yamaguchi (then 5th Dan) during 1st-3rd October 2004 when he accompanied Sensei Asai and the JKS Hombu Dojo Teaching Staff Sensei's Kagawa, Ishimine, Kanayama, Koike, Langley and Inada for the JKS Technical Seminar in Crawley. All very socialable people.
Great training experience but the Championships on the Sunday turned into a bit of a farce due to some bad decisions by the referree's and some aggressive behavour from the officials of the Algerian and Palestinian teams. Our contingent had to leave before the finals which ran late as we were driving back to Lancashire.
Unfortunately Sensei Asai had to return to Japan on the Saturday due to his Mum passing away.
Best Regards Allan
