Firstly if you look at a 7th Dan in shotokan they are wearing a tatty old threadbear belt that looks awful. The TKD uniform has black edging which looks really smart.
In TKD you actually take an exam for 7th dan. The grade before balckbelt you get a colourful red belt instead of dirty brownbelt. Less associations less politics.
The patterns are actually stolen from shotokan as they are the same as the katas. Since it is based on shotokan clearly it is an improvement the next step with more kicks.
You get to break things, clearly a plus for attracting the opposite sex.
There are kicks for knocking people off unicorns.
I have clearly presented my argument and the fact that any TKD person will agree with me and there are more people doing TKD and as we all believe in democracy it must be right.
Remember I am arguing for the sake of it and it slightly more interesting then the pineapple spam

Burt I am SHOCKED You missed a whole bunch man! Firstly if you look at a 7th Dan in shotokan they are wearing a tatty old threadbear belt that looks awful. The TKD uniform has black edging which looks really smart. In TKD they get silk belts with their name in Korean and are required to get new ones often that say MASTER in English thus showing their superiority to others right their on their belts! In TKD you actually take an exam for 7th dan. The grade before balckbelt you get a colourful red belt instead of dirty brownbelt. Less associations less politics. Dont forget that they give out strips and on the odd occasion one or two great fighters get to wear the CAMO belt to show how their skills are so well hidden! The patterns are actually stolen from shotokan as they are the same as the katas. Since it is based on shotokan clearly it is an improvement the next step with more kicks. And dont forget that you dont need to have those pesky deep stances and the form and functionality of the techniques, well dont worry about that Kata are dances anyways right...just get it kinda right and you got it down. Now pesky perfect form ext as long as you can throw the added in kicks and make them look nice! You get to break things, clearly a plus for attracting the opposite sex. And also allows you to train for the furnature appocolypse we are expecting when end tables will attack! And dont forget about baked boards not being as nasty to hit as say a Makiwara, dont worry about that the boards snap if you drop them not like the pain of a Makiwara halting your punch and hurting your hand! I have clearly presented my argument and the fact that any TKD person will agree with me and there are more people doing TKD and as we all believe in democracy it must be right. You forgot that you can get your Black belt in a year or a little more if you pick the right school...never mind this 4-6 years of hard training, just pay and get your belts like you should be able to...who the hell are those instructors to tell me Im not a black belt after my 16 months of twice a week service to the club and my payments never stopping! And with every TKD now adding Gracie Jiu Jitsu to the roster of events I get more bang for my buck really! I mean not only can I knock my attackers off their Unicorn but once they hit the ground I can hug them into submission as well! And fancy uniforms! Yah, I can put as many patches on my Gi as I want, and never mind the horrible heavy weight uniforms that make me perspire just putting them on, hell no I get to wear a Tee shirt looking top that just pulls over, Im waiting for the velcro belt to come out next! And once I get my black belt, to heck with the continued work and dedication, I get send to business school so I know how to open a real club and build my membership with black Belt marketing and business Ideas!!!! Now we know why TKD is better than Karate!

Another reason- it's much easier to type out TKD than shotokan on your smartphone.

All I can say about modern TKD is at least they dont wear those funny color gis like they used to in the 80' and early 90's. I recall red, blue, Green gis and one dojo..and I am not kidding...selling tie dye gis! HOLLY HIPPY KICKERS BATMAN!

Two clear areas you have missed: - SECRET TECHNIQUES! - The Sine Wave - unknown to modern science with effects that can defy the natural laws of Physics
- ...and Everything is excitingly aerial!

Obviously TKD generates more income.
I was breaking some roof tiles a stack of about 30 as this looked reasonable. Someone asked how many can I break. At a pound a tile I do not have enough money to find out.
Sorry Kensi I spoke to a TKD person I do feel that I betrayed you. In England they use the same bricks from the same builders yard as I do. London brick Company. The wood is same 12 by 12 inches 1 inch thick pine. There is no need to treat, it as it is fairly easy to break anyway. Must be the Canadian branch saving time by not practicing. I am not rich enough to do this so the fact it costs more to do TKD is becuase there is more expense. Again very reasonable.
I did find it useful to get into a locked waldrobe and take down some walls.
There are a couple of horse bothering me and Eric and I was hoping to use the secret sine wave on them...

AND you don't have to worry about those annoying things called "Punches". You just let your arms dangle down by your sides.

Another thing that TKD has over us is their williness to teach things they dont know or understand, I mean why stop that from earning you a buck or two. One of our local clubs started teaching jui Jitsu, the Brazilian styles that everyone wants and they rip off one of the famous families of BJJ to do it, I mean its fair right...get a video...watch it three times...teach it and ask for $95 a month from students. Us Karate people would never be so brave as to do that. I mean we might try to figure stuff out and apply it to Bunkai from other arts, but to start teaching a whole other art, and wear your TKD black belt while doing it...well that takes "Melons" if you know what I mean!

Arm dangling by your side is excellent practice for an arse kicking contest.
Did you realise that the back is not a scoring area in TKD contest, so makes spinning kicks a bit redundant.
