First and formost is the high stance it is so much easier than getting carpet burns on your private parts.
When doing wado you look a lot more like Funkoshi in his videos and books.
There are only 16 katas to learn that's a saving of at least 10.
Kumite is more flowing in the first year.
Even with a black background a white dove on your Gi still makes you look a bit wet.
The combinations are so complicated it helps with your degree studies.
Some of the senior instructor and there names on your motorbike so are easier to learn.
All in all a lot of pluses.

I beg to differ! First we beat up Tae Kwon Do, then BJJ...and now Wado - but in all honesty, those systems are perhaps only as flawed as our own! I would call them "different in features" at most! If fitness is an aim, then I believe any path can be used to achieve good results; if the aim is self-defence, then I'm sure all traditional martial-art forms have a list of drawbacks! ______________ The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle.

It is meant to be comedy, I am of course only repeating the things that have been said to me by people doing these styles. Which makes me laugh and you should hear what they say about shotokan, I am playing real nice.
I personally I do not think they are different, There are more things the same than are different.
For self defence the drawback is the person not the style.

Very well said - the drawback is the person, not the style! So true! ______________ The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle.

Deepak, I think we all "got" that this was a joke of sorts. I have had the honor of training with some great people from Wado and I dabble with the idea of doing BJJ on the side. I love Shotokan but I have been told so many times that it wont work in a street fight, that we are to ridged and that our black belts are horrible compaired to XYZ style that a bit of levity and poking fun at other styles in a light hearted way is warrented in my mind.
Personally I think that you could take full contact tiddly winks and if you were worth a damn as a street fighter or had the right instincts you would be a killer, and I also think that we see way to many "perfect styles" and laugh at them in the end because they turn out bogus BS defense tactics and charge through the roof for it.
I Think that this is in good fun and if someone gets offended from Wado, or TKD and BJJ before then they have their head up their arse to far and have drank the cool aid!
Its the person not the style and each style has some good points and some bad points that need working on.

I guess, like karate-talk, even karate-jokes will take a few more years to sink in :-) You decades-experienced guys are clearly at a different plain than me, even when it comes to humour! Oss! :-) I'll go and start a different thread now :-P ______________ The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle.

I have trained in the styles a couple of times a week, I have said all the things here and there has never been a problem, there has been a discussian about the different emphasis and the way they do things. I feel life is not long enough to learn everything and wish I had more time.
On the internet people really get up tight about everything, fail to present any arguments and resort to dogmatic belief.
As Kensi says "if there heads are so far up there arses "they cannot see the light, am not sure what cool aid is, I can't say I am really bothered.
