Thank you very much for accepting me here. I really appreciate that.
I am very new to training and I have a little confusion related to Gis
Can you please help me out in choosing the right Gi for karate? What is the difference between Karate gi and other gis I bought a gi online and my couch said it is a BJJ gi and i seriously have no idea about what is a karate gi and what is the difference between my gi and the BJJ gi. I checked the web and it is bjj gi but why is this a BJJ gi? I tried to search about it online but couldn't get sufficient information so i think i should ask the question here.
Please help me out and thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
A BJJ gi, much like a judo or jujitsu gi will typically be made from a far heavier weight (and probably textured) fabric, it will have extra reinforcement in certain specific areas to cope with grappling stresses and will probably not have any jacket ties to hold it closed. A karate gi is typically plain bleached white canvas fabric (although black is becoming more common, depends what your group train in) doesn't have the extra reinforcement will be lighter weight , will be cut differently (looser fit, longer jacket) for the different ranges of movement and will have ties for closure.
