Heya all Very simply, how should power be generated for the 5th move of Tekki Shodan? We worked on it in fujicolt's course earlier in the year, but I still don't fell like I'm doing it very well (probably thanks to my lack of notes on that one thing [damn my inability to take quick notes XD ] :/ ) On that note, any useful pieces of information on Tekki Shodan will be greatly appreciated GenkaiMade

Hi Alex
the Key IMHO to the Tekki Kata is 'Think VERY close Quarter' and Secondary elements limiting footwork. so learn how to HIT hard with Little movement and this may include augmenting the structure of a move with one arm by the input of another (in many ways) HARD to explain in written word - simple when experienced. Think 5 stages and everything that entails!
e-mail me and i shall send you some youtube links that will help - but be prepared they won't all be Shotokan approaches (initially) !
