I got stunned by a similar (stomach 9) technique a couple or 3 months ago (it was accidental or at least Steve said it was) my legs just buckled under me. We were practising take-downs when he struck me on the neck it was relatively light I landed in a heap at his feet not knocked back as in the photo.

have faith my friend - open hand strikes, well studied and delivered accurately - can, I absolutely assure you, deliver huge results and no one witnessing the event can say you 'went over the top and beat the crap outa the guy!' Don't get caught up with 'Stomach 2x-17 or liver £2/13/6p' = in the heat of it all far too pinpoint. there are general areas that are easy to find and hit and they go down time after time Sometimes you just have to be sure they are out of it all - sad but unfortunately true!
