Hello everyone. Ive just posted a link about a friends blog about training in Japan just before the earthquake. Its very good Its diarmaidinjapan.blogspot.com/?=0 Hope thats right! Google diarmaid in japan blogspot and am sure it will come up. I have a look at Shotokan Oss a fair bit so thought I should join in. I started karate in 1974 . Still train and have visited and lived in Japana few times although am still not very good!I`m based in North Notts now,although am from Liverpool. Hope you like Diarmaids blog. All the best Simon

Hi Allan (and Mal) thanks for the welcome. I trained at all the usual dojo in Liverpool. started with Leo Arretty,but trained at Jimmy Brennan`s and Terry Oneil`s Samurai dojo. But Steve Cattle at Kirkdale was were I trained for shodan As you know Steve was a great man.Fantastic in the dojo fun in the pub! Am sure we have crossed paths Allan . I was at Crawley for the Asai course. Met Steve Lowe a few times too. The JKS is doing great. We have Matt Price as squad coach now and am training with Kagawa Sensei on Tue in Leeds. we have a club in Leyland now,your neck of the woods. Watch out for courses. Am sure Scott will be there soon. All good stuff.

Crossed over with "blogs" in General Board. Good to hear that the JKS is doing great, well done to Sensei's Kagawa, Campbell and Langley. I have several photos of the Crawley October 2004 course (and Altrincham course May 2002) so you might be on one of them!
Where abouts in Leyland is the club, only two junctions north of where I am?

Hi Steve, I was training at Kirkdale in the 70`s and early 80`s .sadly took no pictures. Very interested in your book though . Allan, the new JKS dojo in Leyland is called Kaigen (ex KUGB).They still are sorting the web site out this week.I`ll let you know when Scott or Alan sensei are over there. Enjoying the forum.
