so, I am a member of several forums and I post on a few of them and believe it or not I dont always get in trouble for speaking my often contraversial mind about things.....well this one takes the cake however.
I was posting on one particualar forum and the topic was about joining a club and the organizations were kind of scary for this one guy....So I put..."their is a lot of crazy butt stuff in Karate but its worth it if you can continue training". I had put "Crazy ASS stuff" but the post Nazi system they have does not allow the words "Ass" or "Arse" in any posts.....even if it is not used to call someone a name or be rude...
So, I change the "Crazy Ass" to "Crazy Arse" and finally to "Crazy Butt" thinking "well I can see that some words are banned because they can be used to insult and offend other....but then I get this email

I almost feel off my seat! Really, The term "Crazy Butt" offended someone and it violated their rules for speach! Now, no offense to the British...but this must be a British thing...Cuz in Canada as long as you dont use a four letter word that rhyms with Spit or Duck you are okay in our books...and even if you use those terms but not to insult someone...well thats fine..... like "Thats a 'ducking' fine cup of Timmies ( most popular coffee joint in Canada)" or " Oh 'spit' I forgot to pack the pucks for hockey tonight" (no, Puck is a puck...not to be confused with Ducks).
My point is...at what point do we realize that a word is just a word unless its used to offend on purpose.. I mean cut us some slack here people we have a language barrier or two to over come when we are on the net. Some one saying Crazy Ass in Canada will probably get a head nod of "yah, I agree" but apparently on the site I was visiting thats as bad as a 'snit' filled 'ducking' post filled with 'ducks' and 'snitting' 'arseholes'!
