To celebrate the 10th anniversary of JKA England, Michael Harris (the Regional Officer for Southwest and Wales), is pleased to announced that a new dojo will be opening near the centre of Bath at Beechen Cliff School & Sixth Form College, Alexandra Park, BA2 4RE.
From Wednesday 23rd January weekly classes will be held in the gymnasium from 6.30pm-8pm for Adults and KS4 kids, and 6.30pm-7.30pm for kids in KS2-3. The school is a beautiful Georgian-style building sitting below the University of Bath, positioned overlooking a tranquil park - yet still just 10 minutes walk from Bath Spa central train station, or a four minute drive from the city centre. There is a free car park - a real asset given the location.
Bristol Instructor Michael Harris said "We hope to offer the same success as other JKA England dojo's in the region by helping Bath kids from Key Stage 2, adults and families to improve balance and coordination, build confidence, and get fit whilst learning a traditional martial art."
Bath JKA are members of the current NHS 'Change 4 Life' fitness programme. Both male and female coaches have full Instructor's Insurance, coaching qualifications and are CRB-checked. In addition they are 'Club-marked' by the charity "Child-Safe", in association with Avon and Somerset Police."
