Hi! I just joined this board, please excuse, and correct, in case I'm making any mistakes in my method of posting!
I've been on the lookout for good (and affordable) Kumite books. I fell in love with Kanazawa's "Karate Fighting Techniques", but it went out of stock just before I could get my hands on a copy! I'm now waiting, impatiently, for it to get printed again!
In the meanwhile, do you know of any very good Kumite books, that are still in print?
Thanks! Dram

Welcome to the forum Dram, I was also after Kanazawa's book so can't really offer any good alternative's but please let us know if you get a good one. There are some good Youtube video's that include plenty of Kumite and its sometimes easier to understand than looking at pictures. I find a lot of the sets are a bit unworkable but always good to drill.

I have kanazawas karate fighting techniques, got it from amazon within the last eighteen months. It's a good book. Have you tried looking on eBay? I picked up some good books from eBay last year

Thanks Rob, Alan, for your suggestions! I checked out both eBay and Abe now - the cheapest available copy is at 77 USD! That's a bit too steep for me - furthermore, I had checked with the publishers, and they seem to think it will be re-printed within a few months...perhaps I should just wait! I have read in many places about Tanaka's book on the topic, and that it's a gem - unfortunately, that seems to be out of print as well...
