Highlight of tonight's training was still standing at the end of the night!
But seriously, I have the shortest legs in the dojo but manage to move further forward or backwards than the tall people and somehow manage to move faster without sacrificing technique. Not bad for 49 year old shorty.
The lows have to be thinking instructor called out Jion when he really said jitte. Must get my ears syringed!
What are your highs and lows in training this week?

My low of the week (so far) was the phrase "Iliolumbar ligament tear"

Boxing & SD @ The Ronin Martial Arts Club tonite! Ukemi waza (break-falls), focus pad combos, heavy bag & defense against chokes! Good work but my ribs still hurt from the competition last week. The gold medal doesn't seem so important now

It's all high's for me... Trained on Thursday night, Friday night, did our grading on Saturday and had 10 of my students pass with one double grading and one getting a "best student". Gave a good lesson on Sunday and then gave an all day session to disabled kids on Monday, gave another good lesson on Monday and tonight.
Nearly all Karate'd out!!! ;D ;D ;D I supose the only lows is not having enough time for myself to practice my Kata...

Attended brown and black belt course and grading today with SKC England in North London. As ever a good training session and had a chat with friends from other clubs.

High this week was conducting an impact/pad based stamina session and having one of my shodan leave the floor to throw up!

Hard warm-up, jumping jacks (5 kinds), stretching, sit-ups, kip-ups & push-ups. Front kick (mae geri), defense against kicks, human makiwara & sparring. Good work! :-) Isn't it strange that we think of it being a high when somebody pukes? Alan the grading & connecting with your old mates sounded cool
