Without saying anything bad about anyone..... Who are you members of - if anyone?
The main things we want as a club are insurance, policies to use, some sort of recognition for grades, etc. Unfortunately when you get some negative politics then it may be time to leave so we are looking for a good one. Please don't tell us the bad bits - just the good ones!

JKS Scotland we work in partnership with JKS Ireland and JKS England. As you asked for the good bits here goes.
1, Registered and verified insurance for the club. 2, Regular training seminars at different venues with domestic and foreign instructors. 3, Regular Instructor training seminars. 4, Both Traditional and Sports karate experts to call uon for training and advice. 5, A great support mechanism for all clubs where the senior grades assist where and when asled/required. 6, Freedom to run your own club your way (within association guidelines and regs). 7, Gradings registered in Japan 8, A decent forward thinking org that whilst growing every week with clubs joining its not that big the ordinary Joe cannot feel welcomed and a part of it.
I must say that the local JKA club around here are very similar as well with openness and friendly atmosphere.

I have been looking to set up on my own. I have looked at English Karate organisation - Dave Sharkey and also Cobra Martial Arts Assoc. One is traditional and the other is multi art assoc. With both you can grade your own kyu grades. Dave from EKO will come to grade your dan grades.
