Hi everyone,
I think I've found out how to fix the "New Member" thing, quite easy when you look (sorry, been away on holiday). So, we can now have different labels for members set against a post count limit. I have currently just removed the "New" for anybody with a post count over 3 but will just throw it out there to see if there are any preferences on how members would like to be referred to and if (for want of a better term) we want to rank these labels depending on contribution level or not?
Give me some feedback and we'll see what we can do.

Hi Bob, I'm not bothered about labelling people as new, old or ancient! Or anything in between. Do we really need to rank people on a forum? I think not. But as ever will go along with whatever.

Ok, just in case anyone wonders I am just playing at the moment. I tend to agree on the not ranking members as it sets a level of hierarchy that is not really appropriate, however, you may have noticed that I have instigated a star rating which is governed entirely by how many posts a member has made, this is not intended as an incentive to post more (although if it helps.... ) but just to give a quick visual reference to the casual observer as to how active any given member is. As I say, I'm just playing at present so quite happy to remove the star thing as well if anybody feels there is any negative impact. Just let me have your feedback (online or P.M.) Thanks

But a differentiation between member / administrator is a good thing....keeps things transparent.
