Already done my time training out in the snow this year (thanks to the boy ) It was bloody cold! Ok for students in boots and fleeces but for me (and him) barefoot in a Gi it was, shall we (politely) say, slightly less comfortable. Did get a nice mug of mulled wine at the end of it though which took the sting off a bit

We have about 18" of snow. The wind was up to 50mph gusts & the temp with the wind chill was about 10 degrees F. My brand new son-in law came over to help me shovel (wish I had this son-in-law sooner). He just started training with me. I told him 'If you wanna get in shape, you don't need to go to a gym, just shovel snow. Do some hard work. Rake leaves, take out the garbage, cut wood do some manual labor. People go to the gym & hire others to shovel their snow? Thanks, Tom
