great to see Andy Upton has joined us here. milk him for info folks - Andy is a very long time student of the UK's second ever JKA Blackbelt - the marvelous Frank Cope who was awarded Shodan a few days after Andy Sherry. (IMHO one of the UK's finest Karate instructors with vast knowledge but peculiarly not as widely known as one would expect).
Andy is also one of those Karateka you could pleasantly shoot - he is a bull of a bloke but as supple as a ballet dancer - I hate him really Haha!
welcome Andy

Thanks very much Steve for your bullsh....I mean Flattery ! I'm not so supple now though ! Yes, it's been my pleasure to know Sensei Cope for 30 years, and I am very proud to say that he is my Sensei.

Thanks Dod and Steve. My memory sadly is not that great (I suffered a couple of epileptic seizures a few years ago. But I am okay now - touch wood. Taps forehead !) As for my photos, please bear in mind that they were taken many years ago ! My legs (and knees !) are no longer made of rubber ! ;D
