Hi everyone, just managed to work out how to enrol (self confessed computer numpty!!!!). My name is mike Robinson and I am fortunate enough to train under Sensei Cope at Wirral Shotokan. Also training with Andy Upton who I remember starting at Wirral, And yes he is still "stupidly flexible". Looking forward to talking with you all. OSS!!!.

Hi Mick,
Good to see the membership numbers growing on the forum.
I'm at 5th kyu just now training under sensei Watt.
It's great that there are some really experienced Karateka joining in the discussions on the forum.

Hello Mick & greetings from Canada. Glad to have you on board. So you say that Andy Upton is flexible , maybe you can give us an example of how he can make certain stretches look easy & how they feel to you. We don`t mind hearing about grunting & groaning. Osu Paul B

Please make it clear that your Instructor is the very talented and capable Dod Watt - we don't want people to think it is someone else now do we. just to avoid confusion HAHAHA! oh and I , and am sure others here are also glad that you think tis great to see 'experienced karateka' joining in seriously though i agree and did chuckle - nice one David.

Hi Paul, Lovely part of the world you live in, My Brother lived in B.C. for a while and now resides in Kelowna. Andy Upton has always from day one had the knack of taking his foot way over his head. We used to do stretches where you would stand facing each other , take your colleagues foot in the maegeri position and lift upwards. My arms would be shaking and straining, Andy just grinned and winked saying Higher!!!, made me sick and jealous then and still does now!!

Hello again Mick! Brother in Kelowna you say, that is less than 2hrs away from me here in Princeton. If ever you are over visiting your brother, maybe you will have the time to come on over this way. Some karateka who are extremely flexible make me green with envy, although I`m not so bad for `55`, I think we all wish we could be like that guy over there.. Osu Paul B
