I believe absolutely that the internet can become a source of fine instruction and info BUT if your gonna do an instructional vid and publish it for goodness sake make sure that your content is at least correct. Take a look at this it is meant to be a demonstration of timing to assist you in blocking in an exchange BUT at no time whatsoever did the attack/s EVER require blocking. it is 10 or more inches (that isn't a typo!) short of target every time. I tried to put up a comment explaining this and it was disapproved and removed whats that about then you try and see what happens this is so basic it is an unforgivable 'wrong' for anyone teaching a class. it clearly isn't a mistake cos it is consistently wrong. and i won't mention the other things wrong and this is one of a chain of instructional vids - i just couldn't watch the rest www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_61fa70QGY&feature=grec_index

Ditto on the thumbs down! Like Steve mentioned, the attack didn`t require blocking. He should have been teaching shifting in to aquire punching range. Also maybe I think differently, but I don`t believe his reference to sen no sen was correct either. Even though he went inside to block, he still waited for the attack to start & defended first. I think this was still go no sen. This reminds me of when master Yaguchi tells us in trainee class; `to much talk`, `the more talking, easier make mistake` Osu Paul B

You're right Paul it was meant to be go-no-sen where you let your opponent take the initiative and you react on it, but this lesson was more like go-no-where
