Was doing some Bagwork today using Slaps and other open hand techniques. I noticed something very interesting: I was concentrating on trying to get the energy transmission INTO the bag. Usually when i do open hand bag work = afterward my hands will be very red. I no longer get bruising after years of doing it. But today my hands showed no signs of redness or any kind of smarting etc. I thought it may have been the cold BUT it wasn't cold (I was outside). so i hope it was that the energy was going into the bag and thus no hand probs = Yippee! - any comments or explanations or similar experiences? Thanks in advance.

That`s quite scientific Bert. And most likely closer to the truth than my first thought. `No brain, no pain` ;D Osu Paul B

Sounded very scientific....but you forgot about the rest of Newtons rules! Yes while every body remains at rest unless acted upon by an external force is a law...it does not really apply to this situation... Basically saying that when steve hit the bag...it moved. Nor does his second law, were by a body of mass subject to force will undergo a acceleration in the same direction as the force applied to it and at a magnititude that is proportianal to the force applied. Basically saying that when Steve hit the bag..it moves as much as the force he applied to it! However the third may be of interest to those physics nuts working on figuring out this issue..and it kind of shoots down a few of them...it stats that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.....basically saying that when steve hit the bag with his amount of force, an equal amount of force was sent back into steve...thus killing 20% of the BS Martial arts hokum that we read about and how a person can "Focus" and not allow any energy to go back into them. Sorry lads...but Sir Newton demystified all that stuff in the 1600's. Dont worry guys, once we get rid of all the BS we can say what Newton said in 1676 when explaining how he figured all this out If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants
