Hi I'm Andrew and I am a karatehollic, There I've said it.
Started training in Kelso, Scottish Borders in 1983 with George Milburn (KUGB). Moved to Hexham in 1986 and trained with some guy there for about 5 years. Had a bit of a break for 5 years getting back into it in 96. Andy Sherry gave me a 1 dan in 1999 that was my last grading.
Moved to NZ in 2001 tried all sorts of stuff Seido, Bushinryu but nothing matched what I had been doing back in blighty. So trained in my garage for about 8 years before opening my own wee club 2 years ago.
Not affiliated to anybody, ignore competitions gradings are an after thought and to be honest a pain in the testes. For a wee club 12 of us all up, it is a good feel we train hard without any pretence of being good
