I would just like to share with you all the news that 2 of my senior grades have just passed their grading to sho-dan. Billy Oliver and Paul Davis have both been students of mine for many years and were pushed to the brink of their physical limits last Wednesday evening. They showed true spirit and determination coupled with good technical skills and I am very proud of them both. Considering the "beasting" they were given they emerged relatively unscathed, Billy sporting a rakish black eye at training on Thursday and Paul walking with a slight limp!

Jim - great news and good to see the Lyons go from strength to strength BUT be honest I bet YOU were more nervous than they were - we all are with good dedicated students - that's why we are all grey or bald HAHA!

Thanks for the mention and congrats.....when asked at work the next day "who gave you the black eye" ? I simply replied "Nobody gave it to me I had to fight for it" !
