I am shocked & saddened by this devastating news. I don't know the man but I have read of & seen/heard audio & video regarding MA commentary about him. I feel empathy for you as a friend of his.  I am sorry but if it is true then I have lost whatever respect I had for him. I just can't book it. I hope, as you said, he gets help. Thanks, Tom |

sad and shocked to read this Steve  I don't know HC apart from his books/videos and his efforts in the MA world. The irony of this is:a while ago HC posted on FB as a sort of a joke what someone would say to him if one ended up in the same prisoner cell waking up and seeing HC sitting there...sadly enough this is reality now... my thoughts are with the victim,family and friends and HC's friends and family.. |

Carolyn has informed me this morning that HC's case is likely to go very quiet for a while as the Police and Social Services continue and complete their inquiries.
HC will remain on remand in Durham County Prison until such time that he is brought back before the Courts for sentencing.
Until that time = by all means send your best wishes to the 'Victims' via this thread and follow me in showing patience and an adherence to NO: Gossip, Speculation, Unkind or undue remarks etc and in doing so maintain the calibre and respect that this great Forum has come to enjoy Via Dod and his family'S sterling efforts.

I have been informed today - by Carolyn - that Harry appeared in Court last Friday and pleaded guilty to 7 counts of sexual abuse of a minor dating back as far as 2006. The Judge has warned him to expect a long custodial sentence. he will be brought back to Court to be charged when the Police have completed their enquiries.
We can all now work on facing the reality and realise that this is never gonna be a case of False allegations that HC could clear his name via due Court processes. It is so tragic - especially for the child involved and her family, and HC's family.
Also sad is that Harry waxed lyrical to us all for decades about the Budo way and development of character via it. It is hard to come to terms with the fact that it was a sham.
But lets remain, on this site, supportive of all the victims and refrain from any speculation. I will give you more info as carolyn or brian send it to me.
Harry's wife and family have contacted me and thanked us all for the kind wishes and efforts to ward of the gossip which was proving painful for them. they accept that because of Harry's prominence through his writings and Karate Courses, that people will want to know and they understand that.
So very tragic!
