Just seen a tremendous ippon in mens judo and full of admiration for less-abled competitors right across all the featured events , but does bring to mind an international karate-ka that SH will remember well. The fearsome Owen Murray, who competed against able-bodied karate-ka at a very high level. The loss of a hand never seemed to hamper him and I have been on the receiving end of a good "stumping" on more than one occasion!

I suspect he became stronger elsewhere to compensate?
Most of them are more than able even with bits missing, I am full of admiration for them all and need to catch up on the Judo as I enjoyed watching it last time round.
I remember a chap in my old local pub years ago who had one arm, he was a really nice "gentleman" but someone took the mickey out of him too much one night - Berny ended up lifting the person a foot in the air by their groin and held them there. There was little doubt that his remaining arm was a lot stronger!
